" My work in its various collage and assemblage based forms combines through a stream of consciousness and chance situations, two and three dimensional forms of imagery into a staged narrative. The images "play" both literally through theatrical storytelling and physically through a balancing act of positioning and careful placement to create a juxtaposing cultural artefact. Heavily influenced by the purpose and placement of museum displays, presentation and the engagement with artefacts, my work combines characteristics between classical antiquities and modern variations in shape and colour which become subject to the audience’s interpretation. Collecting and organising my collections of found material goods whether whole or in shattered pieces and deciphering their properties and purpose is the starting point of my practice. A chosen "curiosity" takes centre stage whilst a series of aesthetic happenings convert its purpose, context and audience’s appreciation. "
