"I have developed a drawing method that creates an intriguing blurred effect and makes the viewer’s eye wander. I draw from pictures I’ve found in old family albums, vintage shops or that I’ve taken myself with a disposable camera. I play around with this method by overlapping the pictures, copying, scratching or staining them, using different colours…etc. The possibilities are numerous. I’m also inspired by children and big city life. I like to collect everyday items like stickers, toys, fast food napkins, children’s drawings or surveillance camera pictures from the metro newspaper. I use
them for my drawings but also quick works like collages and small sculptures. It’s a very playful and experimental practice."
